Carissa Knoles has been strumming to the beat of her own guitar since the young age of 14. When a guitar playing crush said, “girls don’t really play guitar,” she went out and bought one the very next day. Since graduating with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Administration and Leadership in December 2015, Carissa has combined her knack for music and her passion for Early Childhood into the Music with Ms. Carissa program. Working with children and families for more than 10 years, Carissa has written original songs and created activities to get children of all ages engaged in learning through music. Carissa has released one full length album and is now sharing those tunes and more around Metro Detroit in hopes of inspiring children, families and educators to love music and make it each day.
Ms. Carissa has also completed the Drums Alive Certification as of August 2015 and is now able to lead the interactive Drums Alive classes for schools and families. Head over to the Drums Alive link to find out more information! Check out this flyer as well! Drums Alive Flyer
